The Port of Long Beach, Los Angeles’ neighbor at the San Pedro Bay Port Complex, posted its busiest month ever in July due to pent-up demand by consumers amid the COVID-19 pandemic, trade increased 21.1% in July as compared to the same month in 2019, totaling 753,081 TEUs, and set a new record... the previous single-month record of 752,188 twenty-foot-equivalent units (TEUs), was set back in June of 2018,
The Port of Los Angeles itself, says it saw its busiest month so far this year in July as well, with retailers restocking inventories ahead of the holiday season.
